Inclusive & sustainable development through good governance

KiPRAH (Konsorsium Peneliti dan Pemberdaya untuk Kesejahteraan) Indonesia aims to contribute towards efforts to increase the welfare of Indonesia through an inclusive and sustainable development strategy and by pushing for a more effective and efficient governance.

We act as a platform and social network system for researchers, policy entrepreneurs, and people who are deeple concerned with and willing to act for the advancement of the Indonesian people.

We do research, training, consulting, mentoring, and public dissemination, with three main areas of developmental focus in Indonesia, namely inclusive development, sustainable development and good governance.

Inclusive Development

Inclusive development refers to the process and principles aimed at ensuring that all individuals and groups, particularly those who are marginalized or vulnerable, have an equitable opportunity to participate in, contribute to, and benefit from the development process. The concept underscores the importance of considering the needs and aspirations of all members of society and of ensuring that development outcomes are widely shared. Our focus in this area touches on the increasing quality and access to education and health, alleviating poverty, and supporting the attainment of SDG goals., among others

Sustainable Development

Sustainable development is about finding a balance – a balance between economic progress, social equity, and environmental stewardship. It underscores the realization that long-term prosperity is intertwined with the health of our environment and the well-being of all people. It is an approach to development that aims to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Our focus in this area touches on the sustainable and integrated management of forestry, marine and coastal areas, and agriculture; climate mitigation and adaptaion; participation in green economy; and transition to reneweable energy, among others.

Good Governance

Good governance refers to the effective, efficient, and ethical management of a country's or institution's resources in a manner that achieves fairness, inclusivity, and rule of law, ensuring that processes and institutions produce results that meet the needs of the society while making the best use of resources at their disposal. Our focus in this area touches on the provision of transparent, accountable, and effective and efficient public services at the national and local levels.
